South of Agadir : the Sous Massa national park with its magnificent bird sanctuary then Tiznit and its famous souk of the jewellers. We drive through the Anti-Atlas via the Kerdous pass and its terrace cultivation and argan-trees in the far distance then Adai- a picturesque village - before reaching the exceptional site of Tafraoute (pink granite rocks).
After the Ait Mansour valley we discover unique landscapes, canyons and palm-groves. We drive through the Anti-Atlas via the Tizi-N-Tarakatine pass towards Igherm, a small mountain village before reaching the Tata oasis well-known for its pink pisé houses.
The road takes us through the Jbel Bani towards Foum Zguid. We then follow the 100 kms track and drive across the dried up Iriki lake – looking for fossils – before arriving at our bivouac in the Chegaga dunes. Dromedary ride before sunset.
After a morning walk in the dunes at sunrise we have breakfast at the bivouac. Back on the track we leave the Chegaga dunes (300 m in height) enjoying wonderfully different landscapes : ergs,regs, hamadas, oases. Then after M'hamid where we have lunch we visit the Oulad Driss ksar and drive through Tamegroute famous for its Koranic library which we visit and its traditional potteries. From Zagora, ancient caravan city, we drive to Agdz where we visit the Tamnougat ksar.
We drive back to Agadir following the mountain road through the Tizi-N-Taghergoust pass, via Taznakht famed for its Berber carpets. We have lunch in Talouine well known for its saffron cultivation then visit a cooperative before reaching Agadir.
